Generally the majority of people are aware of Google Maps. It was first made available to the public as a way of planning your route to your destination. Much like a GPS system. Over the years it evolved into a route planner, tracker, and directory for awesome places to visit. Obviously research and development into maps never stopped. They kept improving the algorithms and investing more in A.I. technology. Now they are about to launch an exciting and completely new immersive view that will give you all the information you need to plan your trip to the T.

How Does it Work?

This new immersive technology is exactly what it sounds like. You will be able to soar over a city and have a clear aerial view of the streets and buildings. For a more finite view, you will be able to zoom in and go down to a street level view to look at the restaurants and shops available. You may even be able to go in a peak into the store or restaurant to get an idea of the atmosphere.

The purpose is to make visiting and planning to visit a new city easier. With this kind of you you can take note of specific spots that seem to be less busy but offer a good cultural experience. You can really narrow down an excellent and unique route through the city. The new immersive view will be accessible on all devices and will begin rolling out in Los Angeles, London, New York, San Francisco and Tokyo later this year. Eventually other cities will be added as well.

A Few Other Updates

Eco-friendly routing is a newer feature that has been launched in the US and Canada. This feature allows drivers to select a more eco-friendly and fuel economic route to their destination. Google claims that this feature has already reduced the emissions rate by half a million metric tons of carbon emissions. That is equal to around 100,000 cars emissions. A big win for the environment and us.

Another fun and exciting update is the Live View feature for people seeking routes on foot. It uses augmented reality to give the person walking directions in the form of arrows and other directions to get them to their desired destination. In particular, this feature is meant to help in indoor situations like airports, malls and train stations. A few different companies are also using this technology to assist their customers and employees. Lime uses it to show people where to responsibly park ebikes and Telstra uses it to assist fans in finding seats at concerts.

Is Your Vehicle Still Under Warranty?

Having a warranty in place means that your vehicle is covered in the event of a mechanical breakdown. Going on a trip somewhere or even using a car daily, it is wise to have coverage. If you are no longer under warranty or about to come to the end of your warranty terms then you should consider a form of extended auto protection. This can be an extended car warranty from your vehicle manufacturer or a vehicle service contract like those found here on Chaiz.

A vehicle service contract is colloquially known as an extended car warranty. A vehicle service contract is not a warranty at all but rather a contract between you and the vehicle service contract provider. It will give you peace of mind that you are covered in the event of a mechanical breakdown. Plus you won’t have to fork out hundreds, maybe even thousands, of dollars for repair bills. Much like a service plane, it allows for better budgeting and easier to manage situations when something mechanical does fail.

Chaiz’s services are offered completely online with no robocalls or unwanted calls. We have a call back service ready to use when and if you would like to to talk to a representative. You can view all you need to know through Chaiz and get quotes to compare within minutes. When you are ready you can finish the purchase online as well. Making it a hassle free experience.
