Customer questions, answered

What customers ask most

Clear answers ready to read off the screen, in case a customer asks.

Where can the customer get the car repaired?

They can use any ASE-certified mechanic. That includes dealerships, national chains, or trusted independent shops. There is no required shop or network.

How is a claim filed?

The customer takes the car to any ASE-certified mechanic or dealership. They tell the shop the car has a VSC and give them the provider's phone number. The shop looks at the car, then calls the provider to start the claim. The provider's contact info is in the customer's Chaiz portal.

How long before coverage starts? (Waiting period)

Coverage starts 30 days AND driven 1,000 miles after the purchase. Both have to be true before they can make a claim.
Roadside help may be available sooner, often 48 to 72 hours after they buy. This depends on the provider.

When is the payment taken, and is it autopay

Yes, all plans use autopay. The first payment is taken Now and then after 30 days after the waiting period. After that monthly.

What payment methods do we accept?
ed?

Visa, Mastercard, and Amex, as debit or credit. No Discover, cheque or ACH (bank transfer).

What are the customer's checkout options (pay in full or monthly)?

Pay in full: They get 20% off, deducted at checkout.
Pay monthly: The rate is locked in for the length of the coverage.

What vehicles and conditions are eligible?

Mileage cap: Varies by provider. It is usually capped at 250,000 miles.
Commercial or rideshare: The car needs the right add-on. Ask if the car is registered for rideshare, not just whether they drive for it now.
